Approved Teachers’ Pay Rise for the Highest & Lowest TSC Teachers July 2023
The president of the republic of kenya, William Ruto, announced that the government has approved a proposal by the salaries and remuneration commission (SRC) to raise the monthly salary of the lower cadre of government officials.
According to the President, starting on July 1st 2023, there will be full implementation of pay hikes ranging between 7 and 10%.
Ruto made this statement on Friday at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) at the introduction of digital government services that will now be replacing the physical movement in search of government services.
The Head of State indicated that his decision to approve salary rise was as a result of the decision made following the challenging economic circumstances the nation is now experiencing.
He added that and the pay rise is meant to protect the workforce.
In this move , the Kenyan teachers, the police officers plus the military personnel will get a pay rise.
For the case of teachers, here is the respective anticipated salary increment rate per cadre (from job group B5 to D5)
