Residents of Migori are still finding it hard to come to terms with an incident whereby a form four student allegedly killed himself while in school on the wake of Monday morning.
The deceased was a student at the Ranen Adventist Secondary School until he committed suicide under unclear circumstances. He was found by the school’s staff hanging from the rooftop of the school’s store.
According to his classmate who requested anonymity, the deceased was an orphan and seemed depressed for the past few days and had wished his friends goodbye without knowing that the unfortunate incident would happen.
Confirming the incident is the Awendo sub-county commissioner, Mercy Wamalwa who said that the student committed suicide by using a manila rope.
According to the school’s administration, they have been saddened by the incident saying that the student was very intelligent.
The body of the deceased was moved to the morgue awaiting autopsy.
