Cabinet Secretary for Education Professor George Magoha released the 2020 results for Kenya’s Second Education Certificate (KCSE) on Monday 10 May 2021.
The Department of Education took about two weeks to mark the national examinations that were completed between 10 April 2021 and 20 April 2021.
Approximately 898 students obtained ‘A’ plain nationwide while 143,140 students met at least university requirements.
The CS for Education Prof. George Magoha, has stated that last year’s KCSE candidates will know which universities and colleges they will join later this year.
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Services (KUCCPS), a government agency established under section 55 of the Universities Act, is mandated to regulate the entry and placement of students in the country
An estimated 700,000 students took the 2020 KCSE exams of which 143,140 received at least C+ limit, to continue their university studies on government sponsorship. Candidates who scored C plain and below, can join TVET programs at colleges across the country to obtain diploma, certification and arts courses at colleges across the country.
