Magoha Gifts KCPE Candidates with Gifts worth Ksh 20,000

Education CS George Magoha led a government delegation to Loitokitok DEB Primary School on an inspection visit.

He was accompanied by State House Chief of Staff Nzioka Waita, Water CS Sicily Kariuki and other national government officials.

The team surprised the school’s KCPE candidates with a Ksh 20,000 donation to buy goats for a feast.

“I salute our teachers in public schools for their dedication to duty. On behalf of my colleagues I donated Ksh 20,000 to Head Teacher Catherine Rotich to buy 2 big mbuzis to be slaughtered and cooked for the Standard Eight students and class teachers as they prepare to sit for their final exam,” Waita stated.

The team was happy to note that the school complied with the Covid-19 safety measures and 99% of the students had returned to school.

Unfortunately, Loitokitok DEB Primary School registered two cases of teen pregnancy.

The school is known as the alma mater of kajiado Governor Joseph ole Lenku the late ministers William ole Ntimama and Stanley Oloitiptip.

The team also inspected other national government projects in Kajiado such as the Oloitokitok Water Supply and Sewer.

The project was described as a misuse of public resources by Nzioka who admitted to being disappointed by its execution.

“Most public infrastructure projects are well executed, sometimes delayed for cash-flow reasons, however from time to time you come across a fully funded project that’s so poorly implemented it borders on misuse of public resources. Oloitoktok Water Supply is one such project.

“On paper, this project was supposedly at 92% but through project review work by Kajiado County Development Implementation Coordination Committee and the President’s Delivery Unit, it is clear that this is really a big let-down for our local contractors who are demanding more projects,” the State House Chief of Staff noted.
