Netizens React on twitter after Magoha insulted a Senior Ministry Official

The CS for education Prof. George Magoha was on Saturday on the after he allegedly insulted a senior official in the Education Ministry.

Magoha was in Uasin Gishu County where he was inspecting schools preparedness in the area on Friday, November 6, Dr.

Magoha faulted the official for the poor state of the school.

In a video which went viral, Magoha is seen reprimanding the grey-haired senior citizen before dismissing him.

“The situation on the ground is not good,” Magoha stated as he took issue with the cleanliness levels of the Langas Primary School compound in Eldoret. 

The visibly senior citizen tried to respond to the Cabinet Secretary’s query on the matter noting that the issue would be handled and report prepared.

“I am not talking about a report, I am talking about what is here on the ground,” Prof Magoha retorted.

“If I say you are a fool would I be lying?” Magoha posed to the official.

The Ministry official did not get to add another word before the CS dismissed him from the inspection tour stating, “Wewe ni mjinga kabisa (You are a fool).” Magoha paused

Prof Magoha’s remarks elicited backlash from a section of Kenyans online with many faulting him over how he addressed the senior official.

Many noted that his conduct was disrespectful and unacceptable as the official being addressed appeared to be elderly and the fact that students were in school during the incident. 

The CS who was visibly irritated with the condition of the school further forced teachers to collect garbage and clean the school which had been littered with dirt.
