Nairobi police officers have arrested a female student from the University of Eldoret for stabbing a 33 year old Nairobi lawyer on Monday, November 2.
The police reported that, the student who is in her early 20s, stabbed the lawyer who is her lover three times on the back, abdomen and collarbone.
The quarrel of the two lovers started when girlfriend saw a romantic text on the man’s phone.
It was reported that the incident occurred at the lawyer’s house in Nairobi’s Umoja Inner Core area where the two reportedly spent the night.
The lawyer was rushed to Mama Lucy Hospital. The lawyer is said to be in critical condition and has been transferred to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for further treatment.
Buruburu Police officer, Victor Rops, attached to Mama Lucy Hospital,has said that they have recovered the knife believed to have been used in the assault as evidence.
The attack comes a month after a Makueni-based lawyer Onesmus Masaku died after he was allegedly stabbed by his lover, a police officer in the area.
