Kenya Defence Forces soldiers based at the Recruits Training School (RTS) yesterday led by the Commandant Brigadier Maroa Gati donated 250 desks to six primary schools in Baringo County.
Speaking during the handover at Katuwit Primary School, Brigadier Maroa thanked the area residents for their continued support over the years, noting that Baringo County has been the training ground for RTS over the years.
He urged the area residents to educate all their children as education is a key pillar in building a strong future generation.
He further noted that the donation will go a long way in enhancing the comfort and safety of the pupils particularly during this period of Covid-19 pandemic as they resume learning.
Schools that benefitted from the learning materials include Katuwit, Loruk, Lemunyek, Chebilat, Cherelyo ECD and Tuwo.
