NO CHANGE IN KCPE, KCSE DATES DESPITE COVID-19: MAGOHA

KCPE and KCSE candidates are set to start National Examination in March.

The CS for Education Prof. George Magoha said the exam for the 1.9 million candidates will go on as scheduled.

He further stated that there are no plans to shut schools for the Grade Four, Class Eight and Form Four learners who resumed classes on October 12.

“There are no changes and we are not planning to shut down because of Covid-19,” said Magoha.

He said the national tests will be administered early next year as scheduled.

“For now the timetable for examinations remains and children should be urged to continue preparing,” said Magoha.

Magoha was speaking at Uhuru Garden Primary School in Nairobi where he was assessing learning and inspecting delivery of COVID-19 compliant desks.

The revised school calendar will see 2020 KCPE candidates sit for exams on March 22, 2021 to March 24, 2021.

The marking of the two national examinations would be spread between April 19 and May 7.
