TSC WARNS SCHOOL HEADS AND EDUCATION DIRECTORS ON MISSING MERIT LISTS

The Teacher Service Commission (TSC) , has warned school heads and  county Directors against Recruitment irregularities.

This comes after a group of teachers complained to the commission. Teachers have been complaining of missing Merit lists. Some school heads have decided not to send the merit lists to the applicants while some sent messages to a limited number of applicants.

“It has been realized that some school heads collaborating with some Directors have converted the whole process (of recruitment) into personal business. The Commission has received complaints from applicants for not accessing the merit lists for a number of schools.” says a note from the Commission.

The Commission has ordered the school heads, County and Sub County Directors to make the lists public and ensure that all shortlisted applicants are invited for interviews.

Over 300,000 teachers submitted their applications to fill the advertised 11,000 vacancies for both primary and secondary schools.

According to the released recruitment timelines, the County selection process and filling of application for employment forms by successful candidates will be done between Thursday October 8, 2020 and Wednesday October 14, 2020.
