KWALE TEACHERS COLLEGE RECEIVE 50M BOOST FROM THE PRESIDENT

President Uhuru Kenyatta has fulfilled his promise of supporting Kwale Teachers Training College with 50 million Kenya shillings.

The CS for Education Professor George Magoha represented the president in delivering the cheque.

Kwale Governor Honourable Salim Mvurya and his deputy Fatma Achani confirmed the receipt of the 50million cheque.

The cheque comes barely a week after the president toured Kinango Sub County. In Kwale, President Uhuru Kenyatta made a stopover at Vigurungani village where he addressed people. He said he was impressed with Kwale development projects, among them was the Kwale Teachers Training College.

The president praised the governor of Kwale County for good work. He further pledged 150M to speed up the construction of Kwale Teachers Training College.

He said that 50M will be disbursed this financial year while the other 100M to be disbursed next financial year.

After the receipt of the cheque, the governor said the money will be used to fund infrastructural development.

In addition, the governor stated that they have also received certificate of registration for the institution.

He thanked the president for his support and promised to fully utilize it in the intended course.
