A STEP AWAY FROM POVERTY

Many people have a desire and a cry to improve their lives. For many years they live struggling hoping that tomorrow will be better.

When you talk of parents, many of them had great ideas concerning their future and how they wanted to live better lives. When things seemed not to work out, they begin to pass their dreams to their children.

They start piling pressure on their children to become what they themselves missed to be. “You must become a pilot”, “you must become a doctor”. The echo sounds ring into the children ears and mind year in year out. What parents forget is that you have to cut your coat according to your cloth.

As much as I appreciate parental guidance, I have always advised parents not to make their children fight to accomplish. What they themselves desired but did not achieve. It’s sad to note that many people live in their comfort zones until late in life and realize their dreams when it’s too late.

Imagine of situation where one buys a car at the age of 60 years when he/she can’t see the road clearly. Some start to put a five bed-roomed house when all their children are married or in college; who is going to live in these rooms? These are some of what I call delayed blessings
