Teacher Service Commission is determined to recover hefty perks paid out irregularly to teachers from 1st July 2020.The TSC Boss has ordered the County Directors to correct all anomalies in the teachers’ database.
Some teachers were elevated wrongly to higher ranks from the said anomalies of the database, hence taking home huge pay perks. All teachers who benefited from higher salaries in the last three financial year under the Ksh 54 billion pay rise, will have their overpayment recovered.
TSC Chief Executive Officer Nancy Macharia in her statement said `it has been established that some of you provided inaccurate and misleading data leading to erroneous conversions’.
The wrong data capture saw some teachers irregularly elevated to senior teachers, Deputy Head teachers and Head teachers in the year 2017 data capture by TSC County Directors.
The County Directors presented the data before the roll out of the 2017-2021 collective bargain agreement (CBA) signed between the TSC and the teacher unions
